About

The Unstoppable Journey of Damon Elliott

Damon Elliott is a two-time Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum record producer, songwriter, composer, recording engineer, and entrepreneur whose versatile career has shaped modern music across hip-hop, R&B, pop, gospel, reggae, and country.

Born March 21, 1973, in Beverly Hills, California, Damon is the son of legendary singer Dionne Warwick and drummer/actor Bill Elliott. Raised in a storied musical family—cousin to Whitney Houston and connected to opera icon Leontyne Price—he was immersed in soul, jazz, and pop from an early age, honing the instincts that would define his own trailblazing path.

Elliott broke into the industry in the mid-1990s, making his mark in hip-hop with production for Flesh-n-Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. The early 2000s brought global breakthroughs: co-producing tracks on Destiny’s Child’s Survivor (including “Sexy Daddy” with Beyoncé), contributing to P!nk’s M!ssundaztood, Mya’s Moodring, and Keyshia Cole’s platinum hit “Love.” He has also produced extensively for his mother Dionne Warwick, including her duet albums My Friends & Me (2006) and She’s Back (2019), and worked with artists ranging from Beyoncé and Solange to Kelis, Christina Aguilera, and Macy Gray.

An accomplished entrepreneur, Damon founded Confidential Records, Elliott Entertainment, and Kind Music Academy, platforms dedicated to discovering and developing new talent.

In film and television, he scored Malibu’s Most Wanted (2003), composed for the documentary Through My Father’s Eyes (2019), and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song with “Applause” (performed by Sofia Carson) from Tell It Like a Woman (2022). Under the alias Buck 22, he explored country-hip-hop with the viral “Achy Breaky 2” alongside Billy Ray Cyrus; more recently, as NOMAD, he continues to push creative boundaries.

Based in Los Angeles, Damon Elliott bridges heritage and innovation, crafting timeless hits while mentoring the next generation through his companies and ongoing projects. With Grammy wins, an Oscar nomination, and a catalog spanning decades, he remains a pivotal force in contemporary music.
